1. I grew up in North Delta. Go Huskies!

2. I was married for the first time at age 42. I know that single women are often told that they “don’t really need a will”. Yes. You do! You have a legacy to protect.

3. I have witnessed friends die without a plan. I know how long it takes to arrange a funeral, get an administrator appointed by the court, track down all the bank accounts and insurance policies, arrange to sell the house. A simple process becomes complicated and expensive.

4. I don’t believe in sending bodies home. Ask me why I have strong opinions. I’ve done it. It sucks. Doesn’t mean I won’t help you plan to be buried in another country, but I am going to make sure you review all the numbers,

5. I believe in using estate plans to create substantial gifts for charities. For six years, I worked with donors at the University of British Columbia using their wills, RRSP, and insurance plans to fund amazing scholarship and research programs for the students and faculty.

6. I LOVE MY JOB. I love to plan. I love to ask questions and listen to my clients explain their family. I like to think strategically about tax and real estate ownership. I love the certainty of a plan. I love the relief of looking at a complicated situation and seeing that there are many solutions.
